Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy was born in Miami Florida on 16 April 1996. A half English and half Spanish she is the daughter of Dennis Alan Taylor a former banker, and Jennifer Marina Joy a psychologist. The daughter is an Argentinean of Scottish, English and Argentinean descendance. Her mother has Spanish as well as English heritage. Taylor-Joy is the youngest of five children. Four of them are from Taylor's father's prior marriage. They were initially of Buenos Aires, but moved to Victoria as Taylor-Joy reached the age of six. Taylor-Joy explained the relocation was painful, and she refused to pursue a degree in English because she hoped to go back to Argentina. She had to switch schools from Northlands in order to attend Hill House. Then she went to Queen's Gate School and studied ballet. When she reached the age of sixteen, Taylor-Joy resigned from the school to focus her full-time acting profession. Taylor-Joy has always known she wanted to be an actor. Her dream was granted a chance to try it by Sarah Doukas founder of Storm Management and was offered a job as a model.
