Kelly Clarkson is an American singer and songwriter who was the country's love interest when she won the American Idol title in the initial season of the show. This win did more than propel her to fame however, it also secured her a multi-album recording contract together with RCA Records 19 Recordings and 'S Records. Since then she has made several studio albums, three of that reached the top of the US Billboard 200' chart, while her other albums barely missed the coveted spot. Her name is among the most popular performers on American Idol. To be successful she played around with various genres of music and experimented with topics. Due to her uniqueness and skill in the field of singing her work was recognized by critics and won a few prestigious prizes. In particular, she's won the Grammy Award three times. Music isn't the only thing she does. Her appearances in TV and movies. She also wrote the children's book River Rose and the Magical Lullaby as well as been associated in a variety of charitable organisations.
