Amber Benson (born April 14, 1970) is an American singer, actress also a writer, director and actor. She was best known as Tara Maclay in the TV show Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Benson has also written the show, directed it and even starred in her own film Chance and Lovers Liars & Lunatics. She also starred in the movie Kiss the Bride. Benson is the son born on January 8, 1977 to Edward and Diane Benson. Danielle is her younger sister, and she's an artist. Benson's father was Jewish as was her mother was Southern Baptist raised by Southern Baptist parents. Benson was raised in Alabama and went to an Reform community in Alabama. After Buffy ended Benson has been in movies such as The Killing Jar and on shows like Morganville The Series. Her creative talents were put to use on Ghosts of Albion, and she directed Drones (2010).
